Protection

Good Morning and God bless.  Our God is an awesome God and has a great plan for your life!  God spoke through my husband a couple of days ago, and now I am so exited that I will be going back to school yet AGAIN YES to obtain a master's in Christian leadership and/or pastural ministry.  I pray for God's will to be done and not my own.  That God will send me in the direction where I can be of most use for His kingdom in Jesus Name!  This path will also assist me in my career as a Christian author because now I will have the appropriate credentials.  More importantly, I will be doing what I am passionate about;  learning and writing about God!

Today I pray that you may fulfill God's purposes for your life and that you may be filled with the Holy Spirit and abounding joy!  Now, I share with you more from my exiting new devotional, "The Perfect Gift."

Woe to him who builds his house by unjust gain,
setting his nest on high
to escape the clutches of ruin.
You have plotted the ruin of many peoples,
shaming your own house and forfeiting your life.
The stones of the wall will cry out
And the beams of the woodwork will echo it.

Woe to him who builds a city with bloodshed
and establishes a town by injustice!
Has not the Lord determined
that the people’s labor is only fuel for the fire.
That the nations exhaust themselves for nothing?
For the Earth will be filled with the knowledge
of the glory of the Lord
as the waters cover the sea.
Habakkuk 2:9-14 p.  1477

God’s people are infinitely safe from the ruins of affliction.  Although we labor in vain we will not be constricted by the chains that once held us captive. Jesus has set us free so that whatever we do, we may do with gusto and gratefulness.  The Lord our God uses are troubled times as a testimony to others.  Once we have called out to Him in an honest plea he has already assured our protection from the enemy.  Troubled times are sure to abound but with Christ at the wheel they will never override us.  Embrace His loving security from the pitfalls of life because He has much more to show you than the world has to offer.

Behold, I am your comforter and provider.  Your ultimate source of protection in times of need.  Fear not in my presence for I have come so that you may have life.  At times it may seem as though you are walking a dark, path alone in a fallen world that once held you prisoner to your greatest strength and abilities. As you look around the world draws you deeper into its desolate hole.  Do not be fooled by this empty course that tries sinking you to the bottom.  Instead reach out high as you call out My name.  Do not look to the side at your opposing forces but rather, upward to the heavens where I am omnipresent to wrap you in my loving arms, never allowing harm to invade you.  Trust in me for protection and strength for I am your provider in times of trouble and for all eternity.  Remember to shift your focus, thoughts and actions to My house where I welcome them with open, extended arms so that your plans may succeed.

Do not be afraid, Jacob my servant;
do not be dismayed, Israel.
I will surely save you out of a distant place,
your descendants from the land of their exile.
Jacob will again have peace and security,
and no one will make him afraid.
Jeremiah 46: 27

Good Morning!

As promised I am going to share with you some work from my new devotional.  Enjoy and take heart.  I am fasting this week and believing for great miracles!  Looking for a publisher and a financial breakthrough.  Indeed, my husband makes great money, but he cannot afford to pay my debt.  This is something I must do myself, and I know that God has a plan if I put in the work and honor Him.  But time is running out.  If I don't reap a profit soon I will be forced to send my son to daycare.  Even still can't wait to see what God has in store because he has the best plan, and I believe in His promises.  In the past He has saved me from addiction and death.  So why should I worry?  This week I will post on my fasting experience along with more from my blessed devotional!  God bless you!

Seeking Wisdom
Wisdom has built her house;
she has set up her seven pillars.
she has prepared her meat and mixed her wine;
she has also set her table.
S he has sent out her servants and she calls
from the highest point of the city,
“Let all who are simple come to my house,”
To those who have no sense she says,
“Come, eat my food
and drink the wind I have mixed.
Leave your simple ways and you will live;
walk in the way of insight.”
Proverbs 9: 1-6 p.  997

A desire for wisdom brings perfection and completeness, but we must learn to rebuke the wicked.  Foolishness is prevalent in today’s society but we must learn to hold our tongue and stand firm in our faith.  The wise are treasured and the foolish rebuked.  Wisdom is learned with a strong faith in the Lord and comes at a price already paid for us on the cross.  Learn to keep quiet in the heat of foolishness and pride and your reward is wisdom.

My name is pure and just.  I desire my children to stand firm in their faith so that the doors of righteousness open far and wide.  Wisdom resides at these doors, and I graciously await to open the doors to let you in.  But you must learn from my words of truth and wisdom to shut the door on the evil one.  You do this by calling out my name and seeking for truth.  The beauty of righteousness is rich in wisdom.  Wisdom resides in the heavens eternally.  Make your heart full of wisdom now and you get a taste of the heavens in all its glory and splendor.  But the taste of foolishness narrows your perspective.  Come to me now and desire wisdom.  Trust me, I love you.

“Now then, my children, listen to me;
blessed are those who keep my ways.
Listen to my instruction and be wise;
do not disregard it.
Blessed are those who listen to me,
Watching daily at my doors,
Waiting at my doorway.
For those who find me find life
and receive favor from the Lord.
But those who fail to find me harm themselves;
all who hate me love death.
Proverbs 8:  32-36

Good morning and God bless!

I got up a 5 o'clock this morning so that I could get some work done today but our little Braxton still woke up at 6 a.m.!   He loves his momma!  However, today I am going to find time to share with you my treasured devotional I am working on.  Wrapped in scripture and God's word, and much wisdom, I believe it will help you and I in our journey here on Earth.  I believe God gives everyone unique talents and for those with the gift of writing, I hope "we" can use it wisely to bring honor and glory to His name, and light to His kingdom.  I have made a new priority in my life to try and bring as many people to Christ as I can.  But I must do the work.  And I must say, I am guilty of not always doing this.  So, it's time to roll up my sleeves and get to work!
Our beautiful children

Instead of making social media and marketing about me, I desire to make it about other people.  What can I do for the other person to benefit and help them?  To show them love?  I commit in doing my work for Christs' Kingdom, and leave the rest up to God (paying the bills and such).  I believe in miracles, and want you to believe in them as well!

Stay tuned for some devotions!

Alisa's Book Trailer

A New Beginning

H!  My name is Alisa Massey and I am new to blogging.  All the other tools in social networking are keeping me busy enough!  However, since writing my first book I have "gathered" that it is a wise decision to acquire a blog.  Another adventure thus far!

So I begin on this new quest of blogging.  Not sure where to start, but as usual I will follow my heart-

My name is Alisa Massey and I am a Christian author and entrepreneur, and a mother of three fantastic children who love the Lord!  This makes me very happy, and yet another reason to praise God in all his glory.  That doesn't mean life was--or is--easy--but it is certainly doable.

I am also a recovered alcoholic and addict--a grateful one at that.  I have come to turns that my addiction was part of my fate in life--which brings me to where I'm at now--a living testimony to God's grace and love.

I lost everything because of my addiction including custody of my two precious children Jayden and Annie.  But I have come to terms with that too, and have became an awesome testimony to their lives as well through Jesus Christ!  They love the Lord and attend church regularly with their father and for that I am grateful.  Also, the time we do have together is precious and valuable.  Also, last year we had another blessing enter our lives, Braxton Lee.

Ok, so you can find out more about my testimony in my book Redeemed which you can find at www.alisamassey.com or direct link to amazon www.amazon.com/author/alisamassey, or http://www.amazon.com/dp/1492398969

You just never know what God has in store.  After my recovery I obtained a master's degree in organizational leadership with the idea that I could perhaps run a rehab.  Now, I'm back to what I've always been doing all along (just not publicly).  My fourth grade teacher had even written in my journal that I just might be a famous author some day.  Well, I'm not saying I'm famous but I am certainly famous in God's eyes.  The fact that I realize this is an awesome thing.  But this doesn't mean I still don't struggle.  After all, I am still dealing with the piles of debt I incurred while in my addiction--not to mention now the loads of debt from my educational endeavors.  Well, let's just say this keeps my motivation going.  No time to waste!

So where do I go from here?  Not really sure, still waiting for a financial breakthrough, but as before, I am pushing forward.  When I begin to grown weary I stop and remind myself of all that God has saved me from and how far I have come.  And let me tell you, I was a raging alcoholic!  But if I  put that much effort into my addiction at one time, I can certainly put much more effort into my work in present-day.

Now I am working on a devotional--with the help of God.  Writing about God in all His glory and bringing glory to His name is what brings me joy and happiness.  I really was unsure of what to write about with my next book--well, actually I had an overload of ideas but couldn't decide which one to use--so I finally just starting praying for a theme for each day, and voila!  I will start sharing some of my samples of this exiting work as I go.  I'm thinking of calling it "The Perfect Gift," because we all have gifts and talents, and I really never could figure out my calling in life.  But then I just started writing about God through scripture, and he has been speaking to my heart, as I write it on paper.  In essence, it is the "perfect gift," but it a gift to you as well.

See you soon!

Love,

Alisa
